When I heard Diana and Chris were planning a Lord of the Rings-themed wedding, I was instantly on board. Diana explained that it wouldn’t be “over the top”, but that it would definitely have a Middle Earth vibe.

Diana and Chris brought their family and friends together to celebrate the love and commitment that already is, as they’ve been together for many years already and have two beautiful young daughters.

Last year I filmed the wedding of Diana’s stepsister Saira, so I felt right at home immediately with their friends and family. The sisters all joked that I am now their family videographer.

Chris and Diana held their ceremony and reception in her parent’s backyard, a beautiful waterfront property in Sooke. There were LOTR touches throughout the setting, including the famous Tolkien books as guestbooks. The young boys wore hobbit cloaks and the young girls wore beautiful elven robes.

They spent the evening laughing, dancing, and partying with their loved ones into the night as string lights twinkled overhead.
