Screenshots: Saira & Eric’s wedding at Poet’s Cove Resort on Pender Island
When Saira told me her wedding was on Pender Island, I was beyond excited- a chance to get away to a quiet, secluded gulf island to capture the wedding of a unique couple. The ceremony area at Poet’s Cove Resort and Spa was stunning, and featured a beautiful tree as a backdrop.
This couple has an adorable love story. You see, Saira and Eric met in middle school. Eric rocked a mushroom cut and Saira always had the last word, not knowing this young man would be her future husband. Saira and Eric grew up together, and will continue to grow as husband and wife!
Saira’s stepmother made a resounding comment in her speech- she mentioned some of the officiant’s words that often get looked over. The people Saira and Eric brought to this island are their community, and witnesses to the vows they wrote to one another.
Eric and Saira’s wedding day was beautiful and sunny, and it was great to see Jesse Hlady Photography in action. He even managed to be invited on one of the yachts to get a unique angle of the couple. There is no shortage of picturesque spots near Poet’s Cove, including a cute church and dramatic cliffs overlooking the harbour. The staff at Poet’s Cove were kind and helpful.
Saira decided to include DVDs featuring their highlight video with the thank-you cards to their guests. I thought this was a cute idea and we got them just in time to mail out before their honeymoon :
