Tofino Wedding Videography :: T&J {Mackenzie Beach & Tin Wis Resort, Tofino, BC}

When I first met Teresa, we totally hit it off- when I heard her speak about James, there were stars in her eyes. She spoke about their mutual love of Tofino and the west coast, and had their heart set on getting married there.

I was so thrilled to travel to Tofino for their wedding. Tofino and Ucluelet are two of my favourite spots on earth and I’m always looking for excuses to go there. I had the opportunity to get around and shoot some location shots of the town and the beautiful scenery.

On the morning of the wedding, I followed James to the beach as he had a morning surf. I then joined Teresa and the ladies as they got ready at the Studio One Salon and the Tin Wis. Teresa made sure to include sentimental items- her “something blue” was a blue fabric heart cut from a shirt James was wearing when they were first dating. Pretty original!

Teresa and James chose a little alcove on Mackenzie Beach for their ceremony, which offered a stunning backdrop of the Pacific Ocean. They wrote incredibly sweet personal vows to one another.

The couple and their bridal party stayed on the beautiful beach for their photo session with the talented Chelsea Dawn. They even included their puppy, Luna, who managed to stay still for about 2 seconds.

Teresa and James’ reception was held at the Tin Wis Resort. Teresa made many of the decorations, which added a unique feel to the room. I loved the string lights that were overheard, it made for a magical first dance backdrop! There were a few surprises throughout the night, including Teresa’s dad performing a song for the couple and their guests, and surprise video messages from the groom’s sister and father.

At the end of the night, Teresa and James had a gorgeous sparkler exit!

I wish Teresa and James a life full of love and laughter!
