Marianne and Arash celebrated their love on a chilly November day at the Oceanfront Suites in Cowichan Bay.
A lone blue heron watched while the sea lions barked in full force, adding humour to the morning.
It was a unique situation, walking into the hotel room to find the bride applying makeup on her bridesmaids. Marianne herself is a local make-up artist! Nichole was my amazing right hand woman for the day, and captured some great moments between Arash and their dog, Brit.
The couple incorporated several Persian traditions- after exchanging rings, a bowl of honey was presented and the bride and groom shared, symbolizing a sweet life together. The cake cutting began with a traditional knife dance by female family members, and the couple had to earn the knife to cut their cake- carrot cake specially prepared by Marianne’s brother-in-law, Craig!
It was so lovely to work with the girls from Mint and Lime Photography again.
The happy couple’s expressions during the ceremony are too cute to handle, and you can tell how much they love one another.
Arash and Marianne’s smiles are contagious, and I think I smiled all through the edit of this highlight video (my face hurts!)
I wish Marianne and Arash a lifetime of smiles!
