In February of 2014, in the midst of planning a wedding, Amanda and Farron lost their home to a fire. Thankfully their family was safe, but Amanda’s wedding dress, handmade decorations, and other items were destroyed.
When Sarah from Fresh View Events heard about their situation, she decided to step in and help- by giving them a wedding.
She brought together many island vendors to donate their services and make Amanda and Farron’s wedding a reality.
The wedding had a rustic, cozy feel which was appropriate given the location- Kildara Farms in Deep Cove. Kildara Farms is the perfect venue for couples looking for a casual, beautiful Pinterest-worthy wedding.
Amanda and her ladies got ready in Kildara Farms’ new suite above the reception hall. The suite has a 40s-era, timeless look. It was as if we all stepped back in time.
Amanda and Farron had an incredibly sweet ceremony, and recited their own special vows. A photoshoot with Gwen Ewart Photography followed in the gorgeous apple orchard. And then the party began!
Vancouver Island has a tight knit wedding community and it warmed my heart to see everyone come together to make it a fabulous day.
Here’s to a joyful and loving future!
