Sabrina and Bryan’s wedding in Victoria was full of heartfelt emotions and great surprises.
When I first met Sabrina, she was busy buying coffee for someone in need. We instantly clicked, and I knew that she was a genuine, caring, enthusiastic woman. I didn’t get a chance to meet Bryan until their wedding rehearsal but I knew that if he landed someone like Sabrina, he had to be a keeper. Sabrina and Bryan have been navigating the waters of a long-distance relationship, with Sabrina in Victoria and Bryan in Seattle. This lucky couple got to have TWO weddings- one for their friends and family, and one in the U.S so that Sabrina could finally move in!
Their wedding was held at the beautiful waterfront hotel, the Inn at Laurel Point. The ballroom was extravagantly decorated by Upright Decor Rentals and Event Design. When Sabrina first walked into the ballroom, it brought tears to her eyes- her dream had come true.
Sabrina got ready in Sidney the morning of her wedding, with makeup by Erin Bradley and hair by Jenna at Studio A Hair Design. There were many emotional moments as Sabrina was helped into her wedding gown (picked up at the White Peony) by her mother and sister.
Sabrina and Bryan decided to see each other and have the photoshoot before their ceremony, giving them more time to spend with loved ones during cocktails. We headed to the legislature building and Dallas Road for their photo session. Working with Jen Steele Photography was a breeze- check out a glimpse of the guestbook in the video.
Their reception was full of surprises for the guests and for the groom himself. The couple had decided not to have a wedding cake, but Sabrina secretly schemed and had a custom cake made for Bryan- complete with the logo of his favourite football team, the Seattle Seahawks! Instead of tossing her bouquet, Sabrina and Bryan gave flowers to two special couples that had been married the longest. Finally, as Sabrina and her dad danced to Elton John, the music skipped. While everyone looked accusingly at DJ Jeremy Baker, Gangnam Style came on in full force.
I can’t wait to go visit Sabrina and Bryan in Seattle, and I wish them a future full of love and happiness!
